SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BOARD DECIDES UP CHLORINE MATTER Earlier today (June 11, 2009) the Surface Transportation Board (STB) issued its decision in STB Finance Docket No. 35219. The Union Pacific Railroad had petitioned the Board for a declaratory order concerning its obligation to quote common carrier rates and provide service on certain movements of chlorine. The Board granted the petition, and determined that UP is obligated to quote rates and provide the service. To view the Board's decision click here. |
